About Us

The Mushroom Industry Development Council was officially launched on January 1, 2005. The Mushroom Industry Development Council (MIDC) was formed as a representative body for cultivated Agaricus mushroom growers in British Columbia, it is a grower organization and undertakes research, grower education and generic promotion to benefit all Agaricus mushroom growers in the province. The MIDC operates under a levy system, collecting from its grower/members, in order to undertake the various activities necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the industry.
